The SSBC Story
About
Empower Black and Brown filmmakers through resources, opportunities, and support needed to create, produce, and distribute their stories; Amplify diverse voices in the film industry, challenge systemic barriers, and foster a more inclusive and equitable cinematic landscape.

Mission
The Secret Society of Black Creatives (SSBC) exists to close the gap between Black and Brown creatives and the broader creative economy.
We do this by increasing access to industry networks, education, and career pathways within film, television, and adjacent creative industries. Through community-driven programming, professional development, and intentional connection, SSBC empowers creatives to translate their skills into sustainable careers.
Our mission is rooted in the belief that talent is universal — but opportunity is not. By building bridges where barriers once existed, we are reshaping who gets to participate, contribute, and thrive in the creative economy.
Vision
Be a multicultural catalyst for positive action by connecting and amplifying diverse voices in the New England entertainment industry.
